Good Hope Orphan Care: Update for 2024
Dear Peter and the Parishioners of St Paul's
I know that as we get older, more and more we use the expression "time flies", but this last year has been particularly fleeting and with Christmas just a few days away, the year is almost ended
The children's Saturday lunches have continued and Betty has selected 45 to 50 of the most vulnerable children for this project.
With the additional funds received from St Paul's, I was able to purchase school stationery supplies for 30 children this year (previously 20) which will see the students for the whole of 2025.
The annual Christmas party will take place this Saturday and Betty has received rice, roller meal, soya chunks, cooking oil, cordials, sweets and snacks.
I have also collected 4 large trash bags of second hand clothing for dustribution.
Thanks to other well wishers, fresh meat and vegetables will be added to the party meal.
Re-reading, it all sounds somewhat repetitive - the same year after year, but in reality, the translation is pure joy for the children, so thank you with all our hearts!
Thank you to one and all for your unfailing contribution to the welfare of the little ones
May you all be abundantly blessed this Christmas Season and we wish you joy and good health in the New Year
Warm regards
Leila
Christmas Party 2024
The children's party was held today - it poured with rain, a gift in itself!
The children enjoyed heaps of food and shared the clothes - the video clip shows their dance of thanks to you all.
I remains for us to wish you and all the parishioners, a bright and joyful Christmas followed by a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.
Thank you for your continued support and care for the little ones of Good Hope!
Sorry the pics are of poor quality, but the light in the hall was very bad
Warm regards to all
Leila
