Church of England Safeguarding Audit

Thank you to everyone who has already taken time to complete the INEQE safeguarding audit survey. We are very grateful for your willingness to contribute. Your voice is helping ensure that this independent process reflects the reality of safeguarding practice, culture and lived experience across our diocesan community.

As outlined in Bishop Pete and Bishop Leah’s safeguarding letter sent three weeks ago, this audit is an important opportunity for our diocese to listen honestly, learn well, and strengthen our commitment to creating environments where everyone is safe, valued and respected.

If you have not yet completed a survey, please do so. It only takes a few minutes, and responses are anonymous and confidential, going directly to INEQE’s independent audit team. Every perspective matters, whether or not you are directly involved in safeguarding.

The surveys close at 11.30pm on Wednesday 11 March 2026, so we encourage you to respond as soon as possible.
